On request by Axel Thimm (atrpms.net) I did customize the host-skas3 patch for on of his testing kernels. But due to problems - as far as I see it never cleared out where the problems were - Axel decided to comment out the patching - along with v4l2 and pcHDTV patches - in his latest testing and experimental kernels. You can see yourself in the kernel .spec file http://download.atrpms.net/experimental/sources/fedora-2-i386/atrpms/kernel-2.6.spec host-skas3 is patch1000040. While I tested UML on FC2 I had no problem with the stability of the patched host kernel. I still have it installed as an alternate besides the current official FC2 kernel, it is kernel-smp-2.6.6-1.435.2.3.ad.uml. The UML utilies I build myself as RPM: uml_utilities-20040406-1.ad. As UML nested kernel and distribution I worked so far with Debian Woody, because it is small and easy for starting with.
