Tried reburning the CD at 4x and on a different CD Burner. Even tried the install on another machine on which I have previously installed SUSE, RH, and Gentoo.

Same problem.

I had the same issue. I had to reburn the ISO on disc 2 at 4x instead of
24x.

No, I've tried just ignoring it. It keeps rejecting the disc.

When the install prompts for CDROM #2 it responds with "That's not the correct Fedora Core CDROM".

I have verified the checksum on the Disc2 ISO file and even tried burning a second copy but it still produces the
same error.

A google search reveals that at least one other person has had the same problem with Disc2, but no solution.

Just ignore it. Click it away. The second time installation goes on.
In my case this worked. Not only with disk2 but also with #3 and #3.
