The kernel panics started after I added a second drive to my LVM2 root partition. I've turned on smartd and I do not see any hardware issues. I've just reverted to running the initial FC2 kernel (2.6.5-1.358). I expect it to be more stable. Either way, I'll report back to this list and then write a bug report.

Folks,

As I expected, reverting to the original FC2 kernel (2.6.5-1.358) has resulted in a stable system (knock on wood).

So my question now is: should I upgrade to the FC3t2 kernel (2.6.8-1.541) to see if the problem has gone away? Can I do that upgrade without bringing the rest of the system up to FC3t2 status?

Any suggestions?

Andrew
