I run a KDE desktop and use KNode for a Newsreader.  I usually use it 
through Kontact, which integrates KMail, KNode, KAddress, and such.  
IIRC these come with the FC2 distribution.

FYI:  For the Fedora user list I have messages turned off, and read 
posts through KNode (via news.gmane.org).  My INBOX is now much 
nicer.  :-)
