I just finished installing a FC2 box. On rebooting, following warning popup
..... Starting smartd failed .....
What is this warning. How to get rid of it.
smartd is probably not configured properly. Add an entry for each one of your hard disks to /etc/smartd.conf
/dev/hda -a -m your.address@xxxxxxxxxxx /dev/hdb -a -m your.address@xxxxxxxxxxx
If you still get errors, look in /var/log/boot.log and/or /var/log/messages to see what it's complaining about.
