Evidently a recent Intel system. Is it a P4 with hyperthreading or does
it have multiple Xeons in?

Single P4 2.6GHz HT

You've evidently got an ATi graphics card. Which one? Have you loaded
any drivers for it that *didn't* come with Fedora Core?

Radeon 8500LE, using drivers installed with Fedora

If that doesn't stabilise the system, and you do have a single
hyperthreading Pentium 4, you might try booting with the non-SMP kernel.

Non-SMP kernel just restarts the machine over and over. I'll see how it goes with SMP kernel and the "noapic" line added.

Thanks,
J
