For the record, I hit every single Antivirus manufacturer, bugtraq and ISC all day yesterday and most of the night. I saw, and found, NOTHING. Bottom line is, when I thought it was a virus/trojan, and I found no inkling that anyone else had seen it/reported it, I started hitting all the lists I subscribe to. I don't subscribe to a lot of lists, and like a lot of you, I simply don't have time to subscribe to every list I wanted to or needed. This was not a simple case of wasting bandwidth, I was at my wits end. Normally, the linux/OSS lists are the most helpful and in most cases, the most informed. When any responsible admin sees thing going on his networks that doesn't look right, he starts hunting for the problem. And I'm one of those to not dismiss a potential resource because it may or may not be relevant in that resource. Therefore, I apologize for the wasted bandwidth, am grateful for all the help offered and will gratefully close this thread. -------------------------------------- Mark Haney Network Administrator InterAct Public Safety Systems mhaney@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Core release 2 (Tettnang) Kernel: 2.6.8-1.521 GNU/Linux 08:05:20 up 15 min, 1 user, load average: 0.25, 0.28, 0.19
