Have you turned off any other processes that occupied memory > space when you ran FC1 but not now? > After running for over a week since last boot, with FC2, 512mb ram and 1gb swap and a load average of 2+ my system is only using 62mb of swap. I do not recall ever seeing it higher than that since I loaded FC2.
