You may want to check out the current thread (started on Wednesday) entitled "Kernel with Suspend to Disk" support. You can view the list archives here: http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/ if you've only just subscribed.
Best, Darren
Thank you for the info. !
The suspend-to-ram works very well (cf. APM). But, I need a Suspend-to-disk software in fact. I read on the archive that you mentionned that the good software is SW Suspend to Disk : where is this software ? Is-it the software mentionned in the web page http://developer.berlios.de/project/showfiles.php?group_id=1412 ? If yes, do-I have to add the patch software-suspend-2.0.0.100-for-2.4.26.tar.bz2 <http://download.berlios.de/softwaresuspend/software-suspend-2.0.0.100-for-2.4.26.tar.bz2> to my Fedora kernel (my kernel is the 2.6.5.1) and how to install a patch of the type *bz2 ?
I suppose that after having installed the right patch, I will have to install hibernate-0.98-1.i386.rpm <http://download.berlios.de/softwaresuspend/hibernate-0.98-1.i386.rpm>.
By the wat, is-it possible to install everything with the command yum install hibernate ?
