Mozilla has no audio options, aside from which helper application to use for specific audio formats. I'm wondering if the mozilla messages are just because of realplayer being launched from mozilla?

I don't know what's causing the Mozilla messages, and I'm not sure how much I'm helping, but as long as nobody else is responding,
1) You can always install OSS. I'm not clear on how to do this; the only time I did it was a few years ago when it was the simple way to get a weird audio card working in RH8. I paid for it, in that case, and it was easy and worked well.
2) What version of RealPlayer? Could you switch to HelixPlayer, Real's sort-of-open-source, community-oriented player? Maybe it's better at using ALSA. I'm not clear on the differences.

I have a feeling these errors are why I cannot hear audio in RealPlayer often times. How can I get rid of this problem?

This is sort of a guess: FC2 uses ALSA sound, rather than OSS. Unless you intentionally installed OSS, you probably need to tell RealPlayer to use ALSA, instead of OSS. I don't have RealPlayer, but if you can find an option for that (I've seen similar things in XMMS, for example), that may help.
