Malcolm,

Just a quick thing to point out to you...

The module formats changed from the 2.4 kernels to 2.6 kernels, so the
short answer for you is, yes, you need a different module.  One quick
way to tell is that the 2.4 modules end in .o and the 2.6 modules end in
.ko....

Hopefully someone else on the list might be able to point you to a
location for a driver for your scanner....
