I can dial into my ISP just fine for an Internet connection with
system-config-network (making the modem "active"), but a kppp dial-in
will not see past the remote host IP. kppp connects, but is then dead to
the world; it can't even see the DNS IP addresses of my ISP. Why is one
working and the other not? I want to use kppp, or some other more
normal, non-root way to connect.
