I try to install NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6111-pkg1 all is fine except at the
end and the module can't be loaded.
When i run rpm -qa | grep kernel, i obtain :
kernel-sourcecode-2.6.8-1.521
kernel-utils-2.4-9.1.131
kernel-2.6.8-1.521
so the sourcecode is installed and correspond to the running kernel.

It looks like (from the logs) that you are doing the installation from
/tmp, which is OK.

The actual compile has worked (with the void pointer warnings - sigh).

Did you run this script as root?

A better question is "Did you run this as root with the full
environment? (On mine the installer will not run unless you are root,
but it does not know about the environment.) Use 'su -' to get there or
log in as root from the text login prompt.

I never had any problem running the installer with simple su.

Pavel.
