I've got a motherboard with a dodgy IDE adapter that's only fit for CD-ROMs that throws that problem occasionally. The adapter is a HighPoint device on the PCI bus: the on-board IDE ports work fine, so I haven't replaced it. James. -- E-mail address: james | ...
