First, by reading the documentation for that IMAP server. Why do you use
it when you do not have a clue how it works?

Sendmail does not care for mail storage. That is the task of the MDA/LDA
(Mail Delivery Agent / Local Delivery Agent). That is by default on
Fedora procmail. You can too use maildrop, which is IIRC the preferred
LDA for the Courier IMAP server.

Then, after reading the Courier documentation you will know that this
IMAP server uses Maildir format for the mails, and not mbox like by
default created with procmail under /var/spool/mail/.

So configure Sendmail and Courier to interact properly and you'll then
see your mail through Squirrelmail too.
