Installing Linux

Hi. I am linux user at work but recently, i have got
a computer from a friend. I have windows XP on it,
and I have unpartitioned space of about 4.5 Gig for
the Fedora Core 2. I have downloaded .iso images for
all 4 cds. I have burned the CDs using Nero. When I
try to boot the computer, I get following errors. The
errors changes arbitrarily everytime but overall I
have found these 3 errors:

//////////////
Uncompressing Linux...

ran out of data

--System halted
/////////////

//////////////
Uncompressing Linux...

crc error

--System halted
/////////////

//////////////
Uncompressing Linux...

invalid compressed format

--System halted
/////////////

I have burned two different CDs. I was not getting
checksum error before but recently that came up few
times at the start of installation. Please let me know
  about this. The whole process is frustrating.

P.S. I have not been on mailing list before so I am
not sure if this is the right process to post.

Also, I have used md5sum to compare hash value(or
whatever that number is) with reference number given
on website.  They do match.

Thanks in advance.

I am also giving my System details:
Brand HP XE 736
Intel Celeron
Processor Speed: 600 MHz
RAM: 64 + 128 MB
(Dont know much about other details)
