Need help with Proxy settings

I am trying to connect to a Windows network at school that uses Novell. I have a computer there running knoppix and I have been able to configure the proxy settings in multiple browsers. I can access some sites, but the Novell Proxy server does not give me access to most sites because it says I am not logged in. In Windows, you have to log into the Novell client before even using the computer, but I am not sure how to send my username & password so that the network knows I am not an intruder and lets me in. Konqueror has a setting in the proxy tab to either prompt for password as needed or always supply login info. The option to send my login info is greyed out, so I can only choose prompt as needed. I just checked on this system, which is my home computer running FC2, and it is the same way. How to I get konqueror, or any other browser to send network login info like this? Is there a Novell client for Linux I can use?
