I just installed the compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.126.i386.rpm
<ftp://fr2.rpmfind.net/linux/fedora/core/2/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/compat-libstdc++-7.3-2.96.126.i386.rpm>
which seems to have fixedthe problem and now Kylix 3 OE installed just fine.

Install that package.
