I found a solution on this list I think before, and made note of it as
my laptop has no bootable cdrom:

cd [install_directory]/isolinux
cp vmlinuz /boot/vmlinuz-fc2-install
cp initrd.img /boot/initrd-fc2-install.img

Then add this to /boot/grub/grub.conf

title Fedora Core 2 Installer
root(hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-fc2-install
initrd /initrd-fc2-install.img

Then reboot & select Fedora Core 2 Installer from the grub boot menu.
Et voila your in the install for FC2. From here you can chose all the
types of install as you would from the CD or boot floppy.

I think it might have been the fedora test list.... but I can remeber
the posters name was phil something =)

Works a treat any way.
