Can anyone tell me where I install the codecs for mplayer in FC2? In
the documentation it says /usr/local/lib/codecs, but that's not a
directory in FC2. Is it somewhere else?

/usr/lib/win32/

Okay, this directory doesn't exist either. Do I create it? Or is there a package I didn't install that would?

They are in the w32codec package at ATrpms - Stable

Maybe you should have done

	yum install mplayer

with a good collection of repositories (ATrpms should be enough for this one) in your yum.config and all would have gone nice and easy. It's the Fedora thing to do.
