Seeing the dovecot log "dovecot-auth: Unknown passdb type 'mysql'" raised my doubts and a check of the FC2 dovecot updates package SRPMs spec file shows: %build %configure --with-ssl=openssl --with-ssldir=/usr/share/ssl --with-ldap So it has LDAP support but no SQL support (neither MySQL nor PostgreSQL). If you feel you need that auth backend type you'll have to compile dovecot yourself. Maybe add a bugzilla RFE for future FC versions of dovecot.
