SII doesn't have the RAID Function (Libsata) coz the drivers for Linux are still in beta version, so you can't use this kind of controller for hardware RAID . Same problem with SATA 150 with Promise. You won't get any problem with 3Ware controller 7000 - 8000 series Laurent van der Straten Network administrator Web administrator UniPress Europe Rue Théodore Verhaegen, 196-202 1060 Brussels Tel : +32 2 533 99 84 Fax: +32 2 523 24 96 Mail : laurent@xxxxxxxxxxx Website : www.unipress.be -----Original Message----- From: fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:fedora-list-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Rebecca Gruber Sent: lundi 6 septembre 2004 16:54 To: fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx Subject: FC2 Problems with RAID 1 - 2 Haddisks Hi! I have a SATA RAID 0/1 Controller with a Silicon Image Chipset and Raid 1 configured with 2 Harddisks. It works fine under Windows, but under Fedora Core 2 (also RedHat 9) I see not only one mirrored Harddisk, but also two single Disks. Have Anybody an idea why ?? I have tried other controllers from Adaptec and Promise, but there was no way to use the defined RAID drive. thx for help Rebecca -- Superg|nstige DSL-Tarife + WLAN-Router f|r 0,- EUR* Jetzt zu GMX wechseln und sparen http://www.gmx.net/de/go/dsl -- fedora-list mailing list fedora-list@xxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-list
