For those times when I boot without X, how can I raise the resolution of the console so I can see more text on a page than the standard (80 x 24?).
This matrix should give you some choices for resolution. I recommend 8bit modes, because the others give poor performance, IMO. The numbers are for the vga=.. kernel boot parameter. vga=773 is a good choice.
