I went and found the rpm package I needed and manual installed it using the rpm command line (as root) "rpm -ihv (root/yada.yada).rpm" Installed with out a hitch. You could also try to run either a yum or rpm uninstall of the xmms-mp3 program and then do a fresh install of the program. I don't mean of the whole operating system, just the one program. I am sorry if I am not clear on this. I do suggest you check the man pages online ( http://man.linuxquestions.org/ ) or on your computer for more info on the rpm command. Unfortunately, man pages online has no listing for yum. Hope this helps. I am new to this so I only tell what has worked for me. Your mileage may vary. Best Regards, Beej
