I suffer from severe problems using madwifi for my atheros 5211 card in my Thinkpad T40p Using kernel 2.6.7-1.494 I can compile the current CVS tree (with a lot of warnings), can load the modules but can't establish a connection to an AP (iwlist can´t detect anything). Using ATrpms kernel module madwifi-2.6.7-1.494.2.2-0.8.5.5-7 I can establish a connection, but with a lot of hardware error messages in messages (curiously only sometimes). Using kernel 2.6.8-1.521 I can't compile the CVS tree. After applying the patch mentioned previously on this list, I can compile and load the module, but again can't establish a connection. Same result using ATrpms kernel-module-madwifi-2.6.8-1.521-0.9.3.1-11.rhfc2.at. Trying to use driverloader with kernel 2.6.8-1.5 results in a kernel panic. There are no problems using FC1 and kernel 2.4 Did someone else experience such problems and could manage to find a solution? Thanks Peter
