lspci gives me the following output: 02:01.0 ethernet Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139/8139 C+ (rev 10) Subsystem: Toshiba America Info Systems: Unknown device ff00 Flags: Bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 10 I/O ports at 3000 memory at e0200000 (32 bit , non-preferable) [size=256] Capabilities: [50] Powermanagement version 2 ok then i type system-config-network and go to the hardware tab,i select my network card, RTL-8139/8139C.... i click on edit i see MEM, IO, IO1, IO2, DMA0, DMA1. i dont know what dma1 or 0 is but it put 3000 in the IO and e0200000 in th IO field right?, i leave the rest of the fields empty mostly cuz i dont know wat to put in them then when i close it i asks me if i want ti save then the error message: The Ethernet card could not be initialized. PLease Vreify your settings and try again.
