My ISP in Norway supplies a hardware router with a builtin DHCP server.
DHCP works effortless with just about anything network enabled, no need
to worry about PPPoE stuff (my router makes the PPP connection
automatically).

You can probably find a DSL provider WhereverYouAre which provide the
same (?).
