Hi 

Shefali I use SBC/Yahoo with the SpeedStream 5100 modem just the modem
and not a router.  SBC is using PPPoE and to setup that username and
password just run /sbin/adsl-setup  then it will configure your ppp1
device.  It will ask you the username and pw plus a few other things. 
Please note that when it reaches the DNS section make sure to type
server and defualt settings for the rest are fine.

After thats complete /sbin/adsl-start will start ppp0  and
/sbin/adsl-status will show you your ppp0 is up and running or down.
