Hi,
Hello Daniel,

I am running Fedora Core 1 on a Compaq Proliant 6000 with 2 CPU. This distribution is very stable and all is working :-)

I am searching a way to install the Compaq Insight Manager Agent for this
Proliant and linux distribution.
I've been looking for a solution installing the CPQ/HP Server Agents aswell. Searched the web for quite a good time. However I found a site I bookmarked myself:

http://www.sk-tech.net/support/cpqheath.html

Unfortunatelly for some reason this page aint available anymore. People were developing/modified the CPQ Agents for running under Debian Linux.

This old classic:

http://www.geocities.com/rlcomp_1999/links.html

regarding Linux on ProLiant servers might be of help in some situations too but is not a help in this subject though.

If someone else used to know a way to install CPQ/HP Server Agents on ProLiants please let us know it would be greatly appreciated :)

Originaly, this server was a Windows NT4 FilesServer and this agents was running with success.

On the Homepage of Compaq, for this server, only the Redhat version 6.0 was
supported.
Yes Compaq/HP only supports commercial server products like SuSE Enterprise Server or Red Hats professional server version. Though they only build their packages for this architectures.

I have try to install the version for the Redhat Entreprise but without any success !

It is possible to find a way ? Any suggestion ?

I would really appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Daniel
