Upgraded to new K3B version and now I cant burn CDs!

I upgraded the K3B rpm to the new version k3b-0.11.14-0.fdr.0.2, and now I can't write CDs. In the device detection screen, My Plexwriter 24x10x40x (/dev/hdc) says it cannot write CD-Rs now, but it still can write CD-RWs. What is the deal with this? Is it just a bug in the new version, or was something changed in the program that I need to adjust my system settings for?
