Did you were able to enable WEP in your config ?
I live in a somewhat rural area so I haven't tried yet, but I'm going to attempt to setup WEP on the lab network later next week, I'll keep you posted on this.
btw - my last posted mentioned "gnome-network-preferences" it should have been "system-config-network"
