Sounds like the old KVM mouse problem.  Probably using a Belkin KVM?

Check the archives for detailed discussion on this problem.

You can try adding psmouse.proto=imps to the kernel parameters.  This
has apparently helped many people but not all.

There was also a test patch that was looking for testing.  Would need to
search the archives for that.  Was in the last 3 months that that was
proposed.  You may find that under bugzilla as well.
