install ic2 driver

i use fedora core1 distribution on my supermicro server (6013T-A) with the
new tgm+ board.

the kernel version i use does not support the supermicro superdoctor utility
without installing the ic2 driver manually.

this i what i tried.

then i get alot of errors, which this is important

Exception: if you're using a stock RedHat/Fedora kernel...
  (1) Install the appropriate kernel-source RPM.
  (2) Copy the appropriate config...
      from /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2188.nptlsmp/build/configs/<...>
      to /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2188.nptlsmp/build/.config
  (3) Do *NOT* 'make dep' or 'make config'.

make: *** [/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2188.nptlsmp/build/.config] Error 1

so i installed the source for the kernel.

[root@s1-13m833-1 root]# rpm -ivh kernel-2.4.22-1.2188.nptl.src.rpm
   1:kernel ###########################################
[100%]
[root@s1-13m833-1 root]#

so now there should be a directory called
lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2188.nptlsmp/build/configs but there is not ?!?

[root@s1-13m833-1 root]# ls -la
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2188.nptlsmp/build/configs
ls: /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2188.nptlsmp/build/configs: No such file or
directory
[root@s1-13m833-1 root]# ls -la /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2188.nptlsmp/build/
ls: /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2188.nptlsmp/build/: No such file or directory
[root@s1-13m833-1 root]# ls -la /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2188.nptlsmp/

not even the build directory is there, but there is a symlink called build
which is invalid.

lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root      41 Jul 20 17:01 build ->
../../../usr/src/linux-2.4.22-1.2188.nptl

but in /usr/src there is NO such folder.

[root@s1-13m833-1 src]# ls -la
total 12
drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 Feb 24 18:52 .
drwxr-xr-x 20 root root 4096 Mar 12 11:29 ..
drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 4096 Feb 24 18:52 redhat

and there is no folder called "configs" in that path or recursive from that
path.

[root@s1-13m833-1 src]# pwd
/usr/src
[root@s1-13m833-1 src]# find . -name "configs"
[root@s1-13m833-1 src]#

could anyone give some advice to get this driver installed, i need it to
monitor my sys and cpu temp og my server.
