I find that this helps get everything into the email (But I use pine..)
## to handle mutt PGP messages
:0 fw
* ^Content-Type: multipart/encrypted
| formail -i "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII"
##
:0 fw
* ^Content-Type: Application/PGP
| formail -i "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII"
##
## to handle multipart crapola from stuff
:0 fw
* ^Content-Type: application/pgp-signature
| formail -i "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII"
##
It doesn't remove it, but changes the content type so its displayed normally.
