Top doesn't display properly

Hi,

For some reason 'top' isn't displaying a particular application correctly. The box is adual Opteron 64 bit server running an up-to-date FC2.

On the normal Processor display under top Firebird 1.5 (32 bit database) doesn't show up at all. If I shift-M to display memory a single entry appears at the top of the list. I can see it with 'ps', and even while CPU activity is at 98% and I know it's Firebird doing it there is nothing on the top screen to indicate it exists.

It shows up fine on another similar box running Suse 9.1, i.e. 2.6 kernel. FWIW I pulled top down to the FC2 box from Suse and it made no difference.

Has anybody got any good ideas how I can approach/fix this?? I'd install Suse but it hates something about the SATA configuration on my hardware and won't install cleanly.

Thanks,
Bradley.
