Try to install with "linux noprobe" and choose the SCSI driver by hand.
The initial FC2 kernel has following module

$ modinfo /lib/modules/2.6.5-1.358/kernel/drivers/scsi/advansys.ko
license:        Dual BSD/GPL
vermagic:       2.6.5-1.358 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.3
depends:        scsi_mod

which should fit I think. Though the current FC2 kernel does not ship
with it any more.
