I am looking for a free program for Linux that is a good graphical html editor like Front Page/Dreamweaver and not just an html code editor. What would you recommend?

Nothing beats the combination of emacs and Amaya.

If you want to be a good HTML designer, you'll just have to learn HTML. Period. Use emacs to write your HTML code, then use Amaya to clean it up, and add some final touch-ups.
