browsing the web offline

Hi,
I'm giving a Fedora go after using Debian for a long time.
One of the 1st things I noticed was that wwwoffle was not part of
core. I have found wwwoffle an invaluable tool as a dial-up internet
user. Anyway, I've been trying to give Fedora Core a fair go before
dismissing it or continuing with it. I noticed the mozilla offline
mode which I was unaware of and have found scant documention for.
When I 1st used it I was able to view bookmarks while offline that I
had already viewed.
So I assumed that sites that I had viewed and would still be in the
cache would be available to be seen in offline mode, but this is
not how my system is working.

my questions boils down to...
a)
how exactly does offline mode in mozilla work?
b)
Can squid be setup to fill the role that wwwoffle played in viewing
the web while not online?
c)
where can I find a wwwoffle package, and what are people opinion in
include it in extras or core?

Lex.
