Thanks for the hint. However, I don't understand the relationship between the newsgroup and this mailinglist. What do you mean by equivalent: do they contain the same messages as the mailinglist?
They're cross-subscribed, so you can use your favorite client to read the list/group. Full details, and lists of other lists/groups that Gmane carries can be found here:

Note that Gmane also archives the list, and you may find it easier to search there than on Red Hat's site.
