useable in Fedora. What makes/models have people successfully used?

Sony's DVD/CDÂRW works for me:

Aug 1 19:55:18 commodore kernel: hdc: LITE-ON DVDRW LDW-811S, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
Aug 1 19:55:18 commodore kernel: hdc: ATAPI 40X DVD-ROM CD-R/RW drive, 2048kB Cache, UDMA(33)

Obviously a re-branded noname.

Any modern DVD burner should work.
