I used: mkbootdisk --verbose --device /tmp/boot.iso --iso 2.6.6-1.435.2.3 and then... cdrecord -v -tao /tmp/boot.iso
I was confused on how a boot disk actually works...each bootdisk is specific to a particular kernel.

I'm glad that it helped you out. I recently learned this from an earlier discussion regarding the boot disk not available issue, earlier on the list.
