You have to locate the control-center-2.6.1-3.i386.rpm file in the
installation cd's and copy it to somewhere at hand (i.e. /var/tmp)

then, as root, you can issue

# rpm -Uvh --replacepkgs /var/tmp/control-center-2.6.1-3.i386.rpm

No need to uninstall (rpm -e ...)
