Nautilus asked for a password for every directory that I changed to. Konqueror only asked for the password once and was able to dive into subdirectories.
In Gnome 2.6, there is a Nautilus Keyring type doohicky that allows you to save username/password pairs for specific servers/directories, so that it does not constantly hound you for the information.
Thanks for the info. I believe I was having trouble with nautilus in FC1. The password for every subdirectory on the server was a bit too much when navigating subdirectories.
