Start xmms, right click on the main window and choose "options" ->
"settings" -> "audio I/O plugins" and there in the list make sure the
Ogg Vorbis-player (libvorbis.so) plugin is enabled.
Just a sidenote:
You can't use the equalizer for ogg files. It simply doesn't work -
I've read that the equalizer for ogg is under construction, but I dunno
when it's available.
