Fedora Core 1 and 2 turns on prelinking by default. If you haven't already turn off prelinking by doing the following: In /etc/sysconfig/prelink Change the line PRELINKING=yes to PRELINKING=no for the line that says: PRELINK_OPTS=-mR change to: PRELINK_OPTS=-mR-no-exec-shield run in root "/usr/sbin/prelink -ua" after you save the changes. It took a while before it finaly did something for me, go watch a program for little and come back.
