I did the changes on Xorg.conf. My motherboard is a FIC VA-503+ (VIA Apollo
MPV3), and the Video Card is a Chaintek GeForce 2 MX 400.

You also have to change the driver name from "nv" to "nvidia" in 
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.

That does not sound like his problem, however.

What AGP chipset does your motherboard have?

Is there any messages in /var/log/Xorg.0.log?
