I just tried that Bob,
[root@localhost realtek]# yum install rpm Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/yum", line 22, in ? import yummain File "/usr/share/yum/yummain.py", line 22, in ? import clientStuff File "/usr/share/yum/clientStuff.py", line 18, in ? import rpm ImportError: librpm-4.3.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I just read on a forum that if someone could send me the /bin/rpm file then I could re-install the original RH package via RPM?
Do you have the Fedora rescue CD ? If so:
mkdir /mnt/rescue mount -o loop /mnt/cdrom/Fedora/base/stage2.img /mnt/rescue /mnt/rescue/usr/bin/rpm -Uvh <path to original rpm package>
Thanks,
Nick

Hello,
I accidentally removed the RPM package. The only way I can think to get it back is to find the RPM from Fedora Core 2 as a .tar.gz file.
Does anyone have any idea's?
I'm running Fedore Core 2.
Many Thanks
Nick,
Try "yum install rpm" might work.
