The default chroot directory for bind is /var/named/chroot. So that is for bind the virtual root and therefor within this chroot all paths are again common: /var/named/chroot/var/named --> master zone files /var/named/chroot/var/named/slaves --> slave zone files /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf --> central named config file /var/named/chroot/var/log --> logfile directory Alexander -- Alexander Dalloz | Enger, Germany | GPG key 1024D/ED695653 1999-07-13 Fedora GNU/Linux Core 2 (Tettnang) kernel 2.6.6-1.435.2.3.ad.umlsmp Serendipity 14:36:27 up 18:28, 8 users, 0.14, 0.20, 0.14
