Cannot get stable connection : Cisco VPN client 4.0.4B with FC2 kernel-2.6.6-1.435.x

Dear all,

I've just upgraded my Fedora Core 2 kernel from kernel-2.6.6-1.427 to
kernel-2.6.6-1.435 and kernel-2.6.6-1.435.2.3

After I upgraded to kernel-2.6.6-1.435, my Cisco 3000 VPN Client 4.0.4B
will not stay longer than 30 minutes, always got disconnected, where
using kernel-2.6.6-1.427 was stable for days. Then tried to upgrade to
kernel-2.6.6-1.435.2.3 and the problem still exist.

Tried this on two laptops, one is using Realtek 8139, another is using
eepro100. The one using eepro100 was actually using e100, but since it
cannot transfer big files (known bugs on Cisco) then manually changed to
eepro100.

Anybody out there having a stable connection with this combination? Or
may be somebody out there can share me a copy of Cisco 3000 VPN Client
4.0.4D? I've tried to visit Cisco website, but apparently the client
cannot be downloaded easily without contract. Turning to my company IT
support, they are not ready to move to the newest version.

If I cannot get the newest client, I am thinking of trying vnpnc. The
reason why I need to upgrade to newer client is that the combination of
kernel-2.6.6-1.427 and ndiswrapper sometimes create keyboard echo on my
laptop.

Many thanks in advance,

TEITS.
