I don't know if it's the case this time. But many people seem te be getting this wrong. Maybe it would be better if it was explained more carefully at the fedora download page.

The best place that I've encountered to get good burning instructions is LinuxISO.org. I'm still quite a newbie to Linux and I burned a few coasters before I figured out what I was doing.

In my own personal experience, I was successfully able to burn Fedora images to disk with my old copy of Nero 5.5.2.8 using the instructions for Nero; there are also instructions for newer versions of Nero and these apps as well: Toast, WinOnCD, CDrWin, and EasyCD. The instructions are posted here:

http://linuxiso.org/viewdoc.php/howtoburn.html

CDs booted with no problem and the MD5 Sums checked out just fine. Unfortunately, I don't have a DVD burner yet so I can't vouch for the DVD image.
